The Sony KDL55EX500 includes a complete 1080 p picture resolution, which gives high quality contrast levels and good sharpness of image. The EX500 has an aspect ratio of 16.9 and 8 ms time of response. The contrast ratio is about 150 thousand to 1, it has horizontal and vertical angles of viewing of 178°, as well as a Refresh Rate of 120 Hertz. There is quite a substantial difference between 120 and 240 Hertz. Images will be refreshed by a 240 Hertz LCD television twice as much as a 120 Hertz LCD television would.
The audience of the BRAVIA KDL55EX500 is able to experience motion performance using the MotionFlow Technology offered by Sony, which is able to reduce the blurring of mages when viewing fast-paced games and movies. This allows for new TV frames to be inserted between normal frames in order to make smoother, more refined images. MotionFlow technology permits new frames to be displayed by LCD televisions at a rate that is a lot faster.
